Dear Members & Friends of the Dutch Club-Neerlandia/Sydney

Well what did you think of the Mussels we had for lunch last Sunday?
We should have had more as they sold out.
For this Sunday our chef Sooty once again is providing lunch.  This time it is going to beher very special “Bami Goreng” (instead of rice we have noodles) plus we have our “Loempias” back again provided by Evelyn & Peter, so again a very interesting lunch.
Plus our usual appelflappen, poffertjes, croquettes, haring, bitter ballen & chips.

For this Sunday we will have “REIMER” the accordion man to entertain us, so bringyour dancing shoes

Our thoughts are with Mia van Roosmalen recovering in hospital.  We wish her a speedy recovery and if everything goes to plan we may see Thea and Jack at the club.
We have word that Thea is feeling much better since her accident and looking forward to seeing everyone.  I am sure there will be a big welcome back.

You may notice we have a newsletter attached from the Dutch Australian Genealogy Group which again is very interesting.
Also we received an email from Dianne Ellis  diannee@parramattacollege.edu.au
General Programs Manager the Parramatta College phone: (02) 9687 2072
regarding their Dutch language courses (via Zoom video calling so anyone can join)
Some courses have just started so check it out;
https://www.parramattacollege.edu.au/course/LDU  and Dutch stage 2
https://www.parramattacollege.edu.au/course/LDV

Our Membership draw of $100.00 was not taken up by Mr Jan Joosten  #229, so for
this Sunday it will climb to $110.00, who will be the lucky winner?????

Birthdays for this weekend:
Mrs Rosita van Akker
Mr Paulus Breedveld
Ms Rosemary Kriek
Mr William Steinhauer
And if there is someone we may have missed, please let me know.
We wish you all a Very Happy Birthday.

Some daughters do have them;
A sweet, innocent Italian girl gets married.
The girl had never made love to a man before and on their wedding night when he takes off his shirt, she goes running to her mother, who lives downstairs.
“Momma, Momma,” she cries. “I can’t believe it! He has hair all over his chest!
What should I do?”  The mother is making spaghetti sauce.  She stirs the sauce thoughtfully and says, “Hair on his chest? He’s your husband, it’s your wedding night, go back upstairs.”  When she gets back upstairs, the man takes off his pants.
This sends her running back to her mother again.  “Momma, Momma! He has hair all over his legs! What should I do?”  The mother stirs the sauce thoughtfully and says, “Hair on his legs? He’s your husband, it’s your wedding night, go back upstairs.
The girl goes back upstairs, and the man takes off his shoes and socks.  She looks
down and sees that half of one of his feet is missing.
She goes backdown the stairs.
“Momma, Momma!  He’s got a foot and a half! What should I do?”
The mother hands her daughter the spoon and says, “A foot and a half?
Here, you stir the sauce. I’ll go upstairs.”

Hello Gerry,
WE like to thank you for the emails you send us to keep us up to date with what is happening in the club.
Last Sunday we were there and we also told 3 more friends about it, and they were eager to come. We enjoyed it very
much. The music was great and so was the herring and croquettes. We also had the appelflappen. Delicious!
We send you this message as we think you would like to know the result of your emails.
Regards
Maria  and Roelf Alma
.
